Description
Study Trust awards partial bursaries to prospective or current degree students at South African universities.
Studietrust may award bursaries to students in any field of study, but students studying towards degrees in the following fields will get preference:
º Agriculture
º Commerce
º Education
º Engineering

Agriculture,
Business Sciences & Commerce,
Education,
Engineering
Who Can Apply
Preference is further given to:
• applicants from rural areas
• applicants with matric/NSC Maths and Science
• applicants with at least 60% or 4 on the NSC scale of achievement in English second language HG or English First Additional Language.
• applicants with an NSC or matric waiting for a study opportunity
• current Grade 12 learners intending to study at a university
• who maintain an average of at least 50% in all their subjects.
Bursary Levels
Undergraduates, Year 12
Value
Study Trust awards partial bursaries based on academic merit and financial need. Partial bursaries cover around 50% of the total cost of studying per year. They are mostly sponsored by private sector companies, trusts or foundations. The balance of study-related costs must be covered from alternative means (e.g. a NSFAS loan).
