The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries intends to award comprehensive bursaries to qualifying applicants pursuing and/ or intending to further their studies in critical scarce skills in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors for the 2015 academic year.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program provides ten months of non-degree academic study and related professional experiences in the United States. Humphrey Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or the private sector. The Humphrey Program fosters a mutual exchange of knowledge and understanding about issues of common concern in the United States and the Fellows' home countries.

Students wishing to pursue undergraduate studies in the following, Social Sciences: Economics, Law, Politics, Pedagogy, Sociology, Literature, History, Business Administration and Japanese language; Sciences: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Textile Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Biotechnology. Agriculture, Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry, Food Science, Fisheries, Hygienic studies Pharmacy, Hygienics, Nursing, and Biology; Medicine, and Dentistry.

The SASCP annually awards two bursaries of R10 000.00 (ten thousand Rand) to deserving students who study full-time in the broad area of Crop Production (Agronomy / Crop Science) at a South African University. Applicants are invited to download and complete the application form and submit it, together with the supporting documents listed under Conditions, to the SASCP Secretariat. Applications close on 15 March annually.

Study Trust awards partial bursaries to prospective or current degree students at South African universities. Studietrust may award bursaries to students in any field of study, but students studying towards degrees in the following fields will get preference: º Agriculture º Commerce º Education º Engineering
