TrAX is a Graduate Programme to assist graduates in the seamless integration into the Tax environment. The programme is focused on giving the candidates a broad perspective on various tax disciplines. The TrAX programme consists of the following components: An induction programme, providing you with the necessary knowledge and skills you will need to perform your role as a Junior Tax Consultant. During this time you will be exposed to the Deloitte culture, and gain a better understanding of Deloitte as a whole. 3 day, monthly classroom sessions, giving you deeper tax knowledge and understanding of the major tax divisions you will be seconded to.

The IDC provide finance for industrial development projects by promoting partnerships across industries within and outside our borders, promoting regional economic growth. The IDC provide bursaries to students who qualify for admission to a University or University of Technology or who are currently studying at a University or University of Technology.

To apply for either the Pure Merit Bursary or the Merit Bursary with Financial Needs, you must meet the following criteria: You must be studying a SAICA recognised degree at a SAICA recognised university or other tertiary education institution. You must be studying full time. You must be completing your degree in the minimum number of years, ie you may not split a one year course over two years Students must achieve an academic average of 65% (60% for 3rd year and 50% for CTA) for Financial Accounting and must obtain a total average of 65% (60% for 3rd year and 55% for CTA) for the four major subjects (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Tax). The bursary is awarded on condition that the student maintains his or her academic achievements throughout the period of study.

KPMG offer two unique bursary opportunities for students studying towards becoming SAICA accredited Chartered Accountants, or CAs(SA). The Pure Merit Bursary is awarded based solely on your academic results. If you do not need extensive funding for your studies, apply for this bursary.

The programme will contribute significantly to the National Treasury’s ability to attract and retain key finance and accounting professionals within the department and the broader public sector as a whole. The Sasol bursary is a comprehensive bursary for students currently studying an undergraduate in the the fields of B Eng or BSc Engineering, BSc or BCom.

Sasol offers young, prospective CA’s the opportunity to take advantage of a fully comprehensive bursary whilst studying towards the BCom Hons/CTA qualification. Successful applicants will receive a bursary that will cover both their undergraduate (3 year BCom) and postgraduate (BCom Hons) qualifications. Those trainees who successfully attain their CTA qualification will be invited to enrol in the CA Development Programme which is hosted by our training partner firm, KPMG.

Bursaries are provided to high academic achievers in various fields of study. Bursary focus areas change from year to year and are impacted by the South African skills market and the SAB business need. In addition to financial support, our bursars are also afforded the opportunity to learn more about the world of work by participating in the resolution of real business challenges, through structured summer school or vacation work.

The SAB CA Training Programme provides training and possible employment to high academic achievers studying towards a Chartered Accounting degree. The training not only helps build business acumen, but also teaches invaluable life and professional skills in the commercial world. It involves a 3 year rotation plan, exposing trainees to management accounting; financial accounting; tax; treasury and internal audit; credit and group finance functions in our business. All our trainees are assigned a qualified mentor to assist in their development. Continuous competency evaluations are conducted in conjunction with external assessors.
