This field involves careers to do with the "rights" and “wrongs” of human conduct. Careers in the legal profession require good language skills, a good memory and an analytical mind with the ability to interpret, reason and form certain opinions based on the facts at hand. The fact that the opinion needs to be communicated efficiently, either in writing or verbally, confirms the need for a good command of language. Various opportunities exist in the legal profession and specialisation is possible. Certain lawyers prefer the court and associated activities, such as debate, whilst others prefer working with contracts and paper work and never see the inside of a courtroom. Some lawyers enter the world of business as advisors (Commercial Law); others prefer work that is more service-related (Lawyers for Human Rights).
