Bursaries By Study Field : Engineering - Electrical

Students with strong academic ability with limited financial resources, majoring in Bachelor degree in Computers or Electrical / Electronic / Industrial Engineering

Anglo American is looking to award bursaries to excellent performers who will be in their 2nd or 3rd year of study. Students should be balanced their studies and involvement in other activities such as campus societies, sport and community organisations.

Bursaries in the following fields: Mining, Survey, Metallurgy, Geology, Finance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical (Heavy Current), Environment, Industrial Engineering, Rock Engineering.

Engineering bursaries. Learners selected must have successfully undergone all of the selection processes and have passed grade 12 with results that meet or are higher than the university requirements.

For deserving students doing degrees that lead to professional careers in engineering, in fields of Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The key focus for Aveng is to build predominantly engineering competency into the future as well as a focus on building managerial and commercial competency.

Main selection criteria: Academic merit and financial need. Preference is given to: current Grade 12 learners matriculated applicants waiting for a study opportunity full-time students in their first year studying towards the qualifications specified above

For students of Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current).

Students at University or Universities of Technology to apply for bursaries available in the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering (heavy current), Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering, Mining - 2nd or 3rd year students

If you’ve recently passed or are busy with your Gr 12 and you’re from an historically disadvantaged background, then Exxaro can offer you the BSc 4 year programme or B Engage programme. This prepares student to compete on merit for a bursary.

Exxaro offers bursaries only to candidates currently in Gr 12 (or to recently matriculated candidates) who will commence with first year studies in the next academic year. The selection process occurs annually with the support of the Exxaro Community Development Practitioners at all Exxaro Business Units.

For finance and engineering studies, or geology honours.
