The GCR Academy is a branch within Gauteng Department of Education set up to build relevant knowledge, skills and talent in order to reduce the high unemployment rate. One of the key focus areas is in the management of bursaries, learnerships and internships for young people. The bursaries are targeted matriculants from non fee paying schools within Gauteng.

Murray & Roberts offers bursaries for top South African achievers who desire to be part of a world class organization with a global presence. Bursaries are available for students studying towards a BSc, B Eng or B Tech qualifications in the fields of Engineering (civil; mechanical; industrial; electrical and mining), Quantity Surveying and Building/Construction Management. Awards are given to those students with financial needs and on academic merit.

Power Group is a construction company offering bursaries to students currently studying building related courses at university and university of technology. They also offer SETA accredited learnerships to young people.
